Bush Betta (Bandipur)

Bush Betta is situated near Bandipur National Park, one of the first Tiger Reserves in the country to halt the demographic pressures that are a threat to several species including the tiger. 864 sq. kms of semi-deciduous jungle with a lot of shrub and bush ensuring rich protein feed to elephant, deer and bison. It is also home to several rare species of flora and fauna including the majestic tiger, leopard and the rare wild dog.

Bandipur, a part of the Nilgiri biosphere, is home to tiger, panther, bear, elephant, bison, barking deer, the rare four horned antelope, sambar, wild dog, and birds such as peacock, junglefowl, paradise fly catcher, orioles, minivets, partridges and quails....

Eco-tourism is used as a tool for conservation, at Bush Betta, for spreading awareness amongst all the people and the tourists. Part of the income of the resort is ploughed back into the development of the forests and wildlife.
